Welcome to Yeovil Junior Netball Club

Training

For 10-14 year olds training is from 5.30-6.55pm every Wednesday at Westfield Academy from September to April (except all school holidays).

Please arrive in sufficient time to be ready to begin warming up at 5.30pm. There is usually a member of the coaching team at the court/dome, please do not leave girls unless one of us is there. Similarly, when collecting, please collect girls from the courts/dome and not the car park or outside the school.

Money

Membership to England Netball is required and needs to be paid direct via the ENgage website. Monthly Training fees are also due and can be paid by post-dated cheques, cash, Direct Debit or Standing Order. The preferred method of payment is by BACs transfer or standing order. However, if paying by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Yeovil Junior Netball Club’. Any cash payments should in a labelled envelope.

Wet Weather Provision

Please always come prepared to train outside whatever the weather!  Please check Teamer, Facebook and the website regularly as a decision will be made by 4.30pm if the weather forecast is bad.

Parking

Please park at the lower school Westfield Road entrance and walk up to the courts. This will help alleviate any parking issues we may encounter this season and also ensure that we see parents picking up players.

We have been asked to keep the area be side the courts free from cars, so that it can be used as an admin area during the changeover between seniors and juniors.

Kit

Please ensure that your daughter:

  • wears suitable footwear
  • sensible clothing and waterproofs if appropriate
  • no jewellery (including earrings)
  • hair tied/clipped back
  • water to drink

Tournaments

We enter teams into a County League, which is run through a series of tournaments at Strode College/Crispin School, Street once a month. This is open to all players able to commit, please reply appropriately on Teamer and/or contact your coach if you wish to play.

Please ensure that the affiliation form has been completed and relevant money has been returned otherwise you will not be eligible to play.

The tournaments consist of 1 game (up to 1 hour long), starting anytime between 9am and 2pm. We will provide kit for these tournaments and match fees are £1 per quarter played.

Correspondence

The majority of correspondance is done by email, the website or through the Teamer site.  In addition, urgent messages and copies of all the paperwork are put onto Teamer and the club website.
