U16 YNC v Taunton C

45-27

A cold start to the morning at Strode and luckily this weeks the match was indoors.

After a good and steady first quarter, it looked as though YNC were likely to have an easy win. However, with some team errors, lack of goals and an injury in the second quarter meant Taunton brought the score line back to 1 goal difference at half time.

YNC upped their game for the last half and improved on each quarter score. Turning over lots of balls and ensuring goals followed suit. YNC winning the game 45-27.

A great game from the girls who got stuck in and showed what they were made of.

U14 Regional YNC v Challengers

10-32

Yeovil welcomed Gloucester team Challengers to the Dome for a very warm Sunday lunchtime fixture.

The girls went out determined to show an improved performance.  The teamed worked hard at defending through the court but were unable to create enough shooting opportunities.

The second half saw better movement and passing with the ball getting into the shooters enabling more goals to be scored. Meanwhile at the other end Yeovil were putting more and more pressure on Challengers in the attacking third causing many passes to go astray and shots to be missed.

Well played everyone and thanks to the parents for lovely post match refreshments!
